Import & Customs Clearance Executive
Location: Thane
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Import & Customs Clearance Executive to manage end-to-end import operations, customs clearance activities, and coordination with freight forwarders, CHA, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The role requires ensuring timely clearance of shipments, compliance with import regulations, and smooth material availability for business operations.
What You'll Do:
- Handle end-to-end import operations (Air & Sea)
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and CHA
- Manage customs clearance, Bills of Entry, and duty-related processes
- Verify import documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to warehouse
- Resolve clearance and logistics issues proactively
What We're Looking For:
- 2–4 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance, international logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Hands-on experience with Bill of Entry processing, duty calculations, customs documentation, and shipment clearance.
- Exposure to sea freight, air freight, courier imports, and multimodal transportation.
- Familiarity with DGFT regulations, ICEGATE, customs procedures, and import compliance requirements.
- Strong coordination skills with overseas suppliers, CHA partners, freight forwarders, transporters, and warehouses.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while ensuring timely clearance and delivery.
Candidates from CHA and freight forwarding backgrounds who are looking to build a long-term career in the pharmaceutical industry are encouraged to apply. Prior pharma experience is not mandatory; however, candidates should possess a strong understanding of import processes, regulatory documentation, and international logistics. Training will be provided on pharmaceutical-specific compliance requirements, import regulations, and industry practices.
