About the job
What we're building
Inner Labs helps brands show up better when people ask AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) for recommendations. For many of our clients, we run the actual execution. Content, community, distribution. Not just the dashboard.
The role
You'll own a portfolio of client accounts end-to-end. You're the person clients talk to every two weeks. You translate AI visibility data into a clear plan, brief the team that executes, and report back in a way that makes the client look smart inside their company.
You'll be the face of Inner Labs to your clients, with a team supporting you on content and community execution.
What you'll actually do
- Own a portfolio of client accounts. You're their primary point of contact, their strategist, and the person who actually makes things happen.
- Run bi-weekly check-in calls with each client. Walk them through what's moving, what isn't, what we're doing next.
- Translate dashboard data into a clear story. Visibility gaps, sentiment shifts, citation wins. Turn the numbers into a narrative.
- Write the briefs that the content and community teams execute against. Voice, target prompts, talking points, dos and don'ts per brand.
- Defend the strategy when CMOs push back. Hold a point of view. Know your data.
- Spot what's working across accounts and turn it into a playbook the team can reuse.
- Grow with us. As we expand, you'd grow into leading sales conversations, taking on bigger accounts, and eventually building a small team.
Who we're looking for
You probably have:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in content marketing, B2B SaaS marketing, brand strategy, or agency account management. Something where you've talked to clients and made things happen for them.
- Excellent English communication, written and spoken. You'll be on calls with CMOs and writing emails to senior stakeholders most days. This needs to be effortless, not a stretch.
- A clear understanding of how technology works. You don't need to code, but you should be comfortable around AI tools, APIs, dashboards, and product conversations. When a client asks "how does this actually work," you should be able to answer without freezing.
- Real experience presenting to and pushing back on senior people. CMOs, founders, business heads. You don't get rattled when someone disagrees.
- A working theory of how AI is changing discovery. You've thought about it, not just heard about it.
- The instinct to spend time on Reddit and Quora without it feeling like work. You read these platforms, you know how they sound.
- The ability to write a clean, sharp email or doc. You'll be writing strategy memos, briefs, and client recaps constantly.
You probably aren't:
- An SEO content marketer looking for a slightly more interesting version of the same job. The instincts don't transfer.
- Someone who's never been on a client call. We need someone who can hold the room.
- Someone who needs a structured 9 to 6 environment. This is an early team, and you'll set a lot of your own structure.
How we hire
- A short call. 30 to 40 minutes.
- A small work task. Real work, real client (anonymized). You'll have 2-3 days, and it should take about 60-90 minutes.
- A follow-up conversation to walk through your task.
- Offer.
We move fast. The whole process takes 7 to 10 days from first call to offer.
How to apply
Email [email protected]
- A short note on why this role catches your eye. Not a cover letter.
- One example of a client relationship or stakeholder situation you handled well. 3-4 sentences.
- Your LinkedIn or resume.
We read every application. We reply within a week.
