Sustainable Fashion Event Outreach Coordinator (Volunteer)

Location: Greater Toronto Area (Hybrid/Remote)
Commitment: Approximately 5–10 hours per week through the event period

About Yíká

Yíká is a circular fashion startup on a mission to make fashion more accessible, sustainable, and community-driven through rentals, resale, and wardrobe sharing. We're preparing for our annual fashion resale event and are looking for a passionate volunteer to help us bring it to life.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly organized and proactive Volunteer Event Operations Coordinator to support contributor outreach, inventory collection, and event logistics. You'll work directly with the founder and gain hands-on experience in startup operations, event management, and the circular fashion industry.

What You'll Do

• Reach out to potential contributors and answer questions about the event
• Follow up with interested participants and coordinate item drop-offs
• Help track contributor submissions and inventory intake
• Assist with outreach to local brands, creators, and community partners
• Support event planning and logistics leading up to the event
• Help coordinate volunteers, schedules, and operational tasks
• Assist with event setup and execution on event day
• Contribute ideas to improve the contributor and customer experience
