I’m building Scobo, a social sports prediction platform focused on making sports predictions fun and engaging without users needing to put real money on the line.

I’m launching with FIFA World Cup 2026. Users will make predictions on World Cup matches, compete by comparing prediction results and earn rewards for points earned. The app also works for the English Premier League. In the near future, I plan to expand the app to include amtches from the UEFA Champions League, NBA, NFL, Indian Premier League cricket, and other sports competitions depending on market opportunity and traction. When I have a strong and expanding user base, Scobo will include real money prediction market dynamics for users who want to predict with real money.

Long term, I see Scobo becoming more of a sports fan super app that could include other sports fan products and experiences. Some initial rough ideas: Sportsfan credit cards, sports events ticket marketplace etc etc

My short-term goal is to continue grinding on the app, grow it aggressively, and seek VC funding. I’m targeting a pre-seed/seed round in Fall/Winter 2026 and planning to position the company for consideration for the January 2027 Y Combinator batch. I want a co-founder to join me in this journey.

Who I’m Looking For

I’m looking for a technical cofounder who:

• Has experience building mobile or web apps before
• Is passionate excited about sports. Watches sports, plays at least one sport, and follows sports culture closely
• Has made sports bets before or is interested in prediction markets
• Is willing to go through the highs, lows and the mundane of building something new.

Even better if you:

• Have startup or industry experience

Previous tech industry experience is nice to have but not required. Startup mentality and willingness to build are much more important.
