AI & Data Intern

About the internship
We are looking for an AI & data intern to work at the intersection of data analysis, sector research, and AI-driven workflow automation. You will analyze datasets across agriculture, livelihoods, and MSMEs, generate actionable insights, and build lightweight AI-powered systems to streamline workflows such as startup pipelines and events. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with messy data, connecting insights across sources, and experimenting with AI tools.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Analyze datasets from government sources, research, and industry reports to derive actionable insights
2. Identify trends and opportunities across agriculture, MSMEs, and livelihood sectors
3. Convert data into summaries, dashboards, and decision-ready insights
4. Combine multiple datasets to uncover deeper insights and intelligence
5. Build interoperable datasets and analytical frameworks
6. Conduct research on priority sectors including agri-tech, food processing, and MSMEs
7. Identify trends, innovation gaps, and high-potential opportunities within sectors
8. Develop workflows using AI tools such as Zapier, Make, Airtable, Notion, and APIs
9. Automate data aggregation, pipeline updates, and event tracking processes
10. Utilize LLMs for data extraction, cleaning, and summarization
11. Identify process inefficiencies and design improved workflows
12. Contribute to building scalable data systems and intelligence frameworks

Who can apply

3. are available for duration of 2-3 months

Other requirements

1. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
2. Comfort working with both structured and unstructured data
3. Ability to connect insights across multiple datasets
4. Curiosity about agriculture, livelihoods, and MSME ecosystems
5. Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, or similar data tools
6. Experience with AI tools and dashboards such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
7. Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics, agriculture, public policy, or related fields with strong academic performance
8. Candidates from top-tier institutions preferred, with emphasis on demonstrated skills, curiosity, and execution ability
