About the Role

ArcLogiq Softwares Pvt Ltd is hiring a Backend Engineer to own the core catalogue platform powering DigiCatalog. You will design and build the foundational product identity system, national PIN registry, and trust-based verification pipelines that enable secure, scalable, and interoperable marketplace infrastructure.

This role involves building high-throughput distributed systems, event-driven services, and secure APIs that integrate with global product standards and India’s digital public infrastructure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Core Platform Ownership

• Own the catalogue platform core services and product identity system.
• Design and maintain a national PIN registry for product identity resolution.

• Build multi-confidence ingestion pipelines:

  • Brand / OEM submissions
  • Verified seller uploads
  • Public marketplace ingestion

Trust, Identity & Compliance

• Implement certification and claim ingestion systems using:

  • W3C Verifiable Credentials
  • Decentralized Identifiers (DID)

• Integrate product data with global and regulatory standards:

  • HSN
  • EAN
  • UPC
  • GS1
  • FSSAI
  • BIS
  • AYUSH

Distributed Systems Engineering

• Build high-throughput backend systems using:

  • Go / Java / Python

• Design event-driven architectures using:

  • Kafka
  • gRPC

• Ensure system reliability using:

  • Idempotent processing
  • Eventual consistency models
  • Strong schema design

APIs & Platform Integration

• Build REST and MCP APIs for marketplaces and AI agents.
• Design secure, scalable APIs for external integrations.
• Ensure interoperability with partner systems and digital ecosystems.

Security & Architecture

• Implement zero-trust API security architecture.
• Build cloud-agnostic, vendor-neutral backend systems.
• Ensure system resilience, observability, and fault tolerance.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture.

• Experience with:

  • Kafka or event streaming systems
  • gRPC / REST API design
  • Schema design and data modeling

• Solid understanding of:

  • Idempotency
  • Eventual consistency
  • High-scale system design

• Experience building production-grade backend services.

* Knowledge of API security and system hardening practices.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) concepts:

  • UPI
  • Beckn
  • DEPA

• Experience with identity systems or verifiable credentials (DID / VC).

• Exposure to large-scale marketplace or catalogue platforms.

• Experience with cloud-agnostic or multi-cloud architectures.
