Battery & Thermal Engineer

Support the design, analysis, and validation of battery pack architecture and thermal management systems for electric vehicle platforms. Assist in thermal simulations, lab testing, and system integration to ensure the battery pack operates safely and efficiently across all operating conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in battery pack layout, cell selection, and module integration studies.
● Support thermal simulation and validation of battery packs, motors, and power electronics.
● Work with CFD tools to evaluate cooling effectiveness, heat dissipation, and thermal distribution.
● Conduct lab tests using thermocouples, flow sensors, and data acquisition systems.
● Coordinate with electronics and firmware teams on BMS requirements and protection logic.
● Document thermal performance data, test results, and design reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
● Zero or 1+ years of experience in battery systems or thermal engineering (EV experience a plus).
● Basic knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
● Familiarity with CFD tools — ANSYS, SimScale, or equivalent.
● Understanding of Li-ion cell chemistry and pack architecture fundamentals.
● Analytical mindset with strong documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Internship or academic project in battery systems, thermal management, or EV platforms.
● Hands-on exposure to lab instruments and test environments.
● Basic understanding of BMS architecture and pack-level safety.
