The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly capable fractional / part-time Controller to help professionalize and scale our finance and accounting operations as the company grows. This is a hands-on role working directly with the CEO and COO inside a fast-moving, venture-backed environment.

After an initial onboarding, we expect this role to require ~10 hours per week on average.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close and financial reporting
• Maintain financial statements and general ledger
• Manage AP/AR and cash flow tracking
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax firms, payroll providers, insurance brokers, and legal counsel
• Improve financial controls and internal processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting
• Assist with fundraising diligence and operational finance preparation
• Track burn, runway, vendor spend, and operational efficiency
• Help build scalable financial infrastructure as the company grows

Background

• Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience
• Experience with startups or venture-backed companies preferred
• Strong accounting fundamentals and operational rigor
• Highly responsive and organized
• Comfortable operating independently
• Experience with SaaS, defense, aerospace, or government contracting environments is a plus

Compensation

$50,000 – $75,000 annualized equivalent, depending on experience, scope, and engagement structure.
