Software Engineering Intern — Marketplace (Remote, Unpaid)

GrantChamps is a B2B platform helping government agencies discover and win grant funding, and helping vendors get in front of the right buyers. We're a small, fast-moving team, and we're expanding into a full two-sided marketplace this quarter. We're looking for a sharp engineering intern to ship real, user-facing features alongside us.
This is an unpaid internship we're upfront about that. What you'll get instead is production commits on a live platform, a demanding-but-supportive mentorship relationship, and work you can actually point to in future interviews.
What you'll build

• Vendor-side marketplace UI in React + TypeScript (product listings, catalog, search, filters)
• Admin dashboards for usage analytics, credit tracking, and vendor activity
• Customer-facing purchase flows and account pages
• Supabase Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript) for email notifications and webhooks
• Playwright end-to-end tests for new flows You'll work with the founding team, go through code review on every PR, and have a weekly 1:1 focused on your growth. Our stack React 18, TypeScript, Vite, TailwindCSS, Supabase (Postgres + Row-Level Security + Edge Functions), Python, Stripe, Playwright. Hosted on Azure. We're looking for someone who has
• Solid React and TypeScript fundamentals
• Comfort reading and writing SQL
• At least one project on GitHub that you've actually deployed and can talk through
• The self-direction to get unstuck on unfamiliar tools
• A clear commitment on weekly hours (15–20/week) for the full 10–12 weeks No professional experience required. Bootcamp grads, CS students, and self-taught developers all welcome. If you're going for US academic credit, we'll work with your program. What you'll walk away with
