About the job
Remote PR & Donations Intern
Are you excited to start your career and gain real-world experience? We’re seeking an intern who isn't afraid to ask "why," loves the feeling of crossing tasks off a list, and wants their first job to actually matter. If you’re driven, adaptable, and ready to learn, your seat at the table is waiting.
Who We Are:
We are a remote team that improves online medical education and teaches healthcare professionals and the general public globally how to save lives. We also take the same advanced life-saving training we developed and give it to populations all around the world at no cost. We work in conjunction with the Disque Foundation to fulfill its mission of advancing healthcare education to the underserved through advanced technology. Check out our website: SaveaLife.com.
Our Mission is to provide free advanced healthcare education to underserved populations in the US and around the world.
Our Goal is to empower 30 million people by 2030.
Our Values:
Dedication to “CANI” culture: Constant and Never-Ending Improvement mentality.
Positive Focus/Resourceful/Gritty/Perseverance: A self-starter who isn’t held back by a lack of direction or detailed instruction.
Impeccable Ball Handling Skills: Responsibility, Accountability, Ownership.
Unwavering Integrity: We Always do the Right Thing.
Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a PR & Donations Intern who is ready to turn "storytelling" into lifesaving, a proactive communicator who understands that every press release or donation campaign helps us get closer to our goal of empowering 30 million people by 2030. You will translate complex medical wins into inspiring stories, manage the donor relationships that keep our training free, and directly support a global mission to save lives. It’s hands-on work where your communication skills create real-world impact.
As a PR & Donations Intern, you will:
Support the creation of donation and fundraising content across our website and social media.
Assist in drafting and preparing email campaigns and newsletters.
Help research and organize potential partnerships, including outreach to universities and young professionals.
Contribute to improving how we present our donation structure and messaging.
Research and compare fundraising platforms and tools.
Support coordination across teams to keep communication and campaigns aligned.
Assist in engaging with our community, including SALI Trainers and partners.
Experience using agentic AI to automate multi-step tasks—whether it’s syncing design tools with copy or using AI agents to handle repetitive research and administrative workflows.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
Curious learner: You’re eager to explore PR, fundraising, and mission-driven communication, and you actively look for ways to grow your skills through hands-on work.
Action-Oriented: You take initiative, stay organized, and reliably follow through on tasks, even when juggling multiple small projects.
Creative thinker: You enjoy working with content, messaging, and storytelling, and you’re not afraid to suggest new ideas.
Detail-focused: You pay attention to structure, clarity, and consistency, especially when working on content, emails, or research.
Tech enthusiast: You're passionate about AI and emerging technologies, and eager to explore and integrate them into your work.
Communication champion: You can clearly explain complex data even to people who aren't experts.
Remote ready: You thrive in a remote environment and enjoy the flexibility and independence it offers.
Additional Information:
This is a remote internship with an expected commitment of 10+ hours per week, depending on your availability.
The internship is structured as a contract-based, remote position, where interns are responsible for managing their own schedule and, where applicable, any local tax requirements.
There is potential to grow into a longer-term role or take on additional responsibilities based on your performance, engagement, and skill development.
Each applicant is required to successfully complete a paid Evaluation Period before transitioning to this role.
