Senior Front-End Developer – SAP Composable Storefront (Spartacus)
We are seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to play a key role in the evolution of our Worldwide E‑Commerce website. This position focuses on building and optimizing our SAP Composable Storefront (Spartacus) implementation, ensuring a scalable, performant, and high-quality customer experience across global markets.
Role Summary
Build, customize, and optimize an Angular-based SAP Composable Storefront (Spartacus) to support commerce journeys—including product discovery (PLP/PDP), cart, checkout, and account experiences—integrated with SAP Commerce Cloud headless services (OCC APIs).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and extend Spartacus/Composable Storefront features using Angular and TypeScript (components, modules, routing, guards, forms, RxJS patterns).
- Integrate storefront capabilities with SAP Commerce Cloud using OCC REST APIs (products, carts, checkout, orders, users).
- Configure and customize CMS-driven pages (component mappings, slots, page templates) aligned to UX designs.
- Ensure code quality with code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards and Agile delivery practices.
- Optimize performance and user experience (bundle size, lazy loading, caching strategies, Core Web Vitals focus where applicable).
- Collaborate with backend teams when custom OCC endpoints or façade extensions are required.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other front-end team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of professional front-end development experience building modern web applications.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience delivering SAP Spartacus / Composable Storefront implementations or equivalent enterprise Angular headless storefronts.
- Proven experience delivering Spartacus/Composable Storefront implementations in enterprise environments.
- Strong Angular + TypeScript experience and solid HTML/CSS/SCSS fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of REST integrations and asynchronous programming (RxJS).
- Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD practices for front-end applications.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have
- SSR/SEO patterns, PWA concepts, and Express-based SSR deployment.
- Accessibility (WCAG) and enterprise web performance tuning.
- Experience with B2B storefront core concepts.
- Familiarity with NgRx or other state management libraries.
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
