Founder-Operator: Build & Own Your Own Agency (US, Remote, 1099 Commission-Only - Start Part-Time)

Most roles here hand you a sliver of equity in someone else's company. This is the opposite - you build your own independent-contractor business, which you own. There is no guarantee it produces income or holds value; whether it works is entirely on you.

Two quick filters before you read on: this is U.S.-only (you must be located in and authorized to work in the U.S.), and you are building YOUR asset - there is no equity in our company to be had here, because the only equity is the agency you build.

OOC Unlimited is an independent, multi-carrier life-insurance agency. We're opening a remote, 1099 path for people who'd rather build a business than hold a job - you get licensed, build your own book, and (optionally) build a team you may earn overrides on. The license is the key; the agency is yours.

Built for people who already have a day job. You can start part-time, in the evenings, and grow this alongside your current work - there is no requirement to leave anything, and no assurance the business will ever reach any particular size or income. We train in the evenings (~9-10 PM ET) on purpose: this was designed for builders who aren't going to jump without a net.

WHY BUILDER/OPERATOR TYPES ARE OFTEN DRAWN TO THIS PATH
(results still depend entirely on individual effort and are never guaranteed)

• Own the asset - You're building a 1099 commission business you own: your book, and optionally a team that produces. There is no guaranteed income; whether it produces depends entirely on your own effort and results.
• Leverage (optional) - If you choose to build a team and it produces, you may earn overrides on that team's real product sales. Team-building is optional, growth is not assured, and you can produce solo and never recruit a soul.
• Effort-based, uncapped potential - No manager and no territory. Compensation is tied to your own production, with no promised or typical amount; there is no base, no floor, and nothing is guaranteed.
• Real product, real clients - You get paid only when actual policies are placed for the families you serve. Income comes from production - never from signing people up.

HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS

• No license to apply - We guide you to a state life-insurance license (roughly 7-14 days; timing varies by state and individual; exam + background check required, and not guaranteed).
• Real tools and mentorship - A real, multi-carrier portfolio, a documented system, CRM, and mentorship - so you can recommend the right fit, not one company's product.
• Real, disclosed costs - Starting involves real costs: approximately $199 to begin and about $99/month for CRM/tools (actual business tools, not product you have to buy and resell). No desk fees, no mandatory lead purchases, and no guaranteed return.

WHO THRIVES

• U.S. citizen, 18+, able to pass a background check
• Self-directed builders who finish what they start - coachable and consistent
• No prior experience or finance background required; we train the system. Your earnings still depend entirely on your own effort and results.
• Comfortable on phone and video; a background in startups, sales, BD, real estate, or any client-facing work is a plus (not required)
