Summary

The Credit Support Services Data Analyst II will design, build, and maintain reporting solutions that provide meaningful insights into credit operations, loan performance, and portfolio health. This position will utilize data visualization tools, with business concepts to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and credit options partners.

The Credit Support Services Data Analyst II will work with other members of the Credit Support Services Department as well as members of the Bank’s senior and executive management team. The focus of this position is to drive communication and reporting to produce value-added, actionable analytics, reporting and coordination. This position will help to identify and assess trends within the credit portfolio. This position will focus on identifying trends within the bank’s credit portfolio that may indicate a higher than acceptable risk profile.

Specific Job Functions

  • Assist Chief Credit Officer, Director of Credit Support Services, and Credit Policy Director with design and preparation of Credit Administration Board Reports and various credit management reports using Bank reporting tools.
  • Analyze and deliver portfolio analytics, dashboards, and governance reporting that provide valuable insights to management.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze loan and portfolio data.
  • Build and manage Excel, Tableau, and Power BI visualizations to report on KPIs such as credit risk metrics, loan processing SLAs, pipeline management, and portfolio performance trends.
  • Leverage advanced Excel formulas to support ad-hoc operational modeling and reporting.
  • Partner with the banking credit teams to understand data needs, provide actionable insights, and recommend process improvements.
  • Responsible for translating data into actionable items for senior leadership.
  • Ensure all reporting follows data governance standards and aligns with compliance and audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain models for reporting and use by production and credit teams to improve efficiency and consistency within the other credit functions.
  • Coordinate processes to effectively document and monitor new credit products and services.
  • Prepare presentations and written materials appropriate for senior management and Board and effectively communicate complex risk topics and action items.
  • Assist in providing data needed for internal or external audits or regulatory examinations.
  • Assist with bank-wide projects as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data management, computer science or related field is required.
  • Four years of experience in data analysis or data mining can be used in lieu of a degree.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years in data analysis or data mining is required.
  • Demonstrated development skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Office 365, Tableau.
  • Excel certification is preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of banking and credit operations reporting.
  • Must have strong business acumen and ability to interpret credit/loan data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
