Voice Engineer

You'll own the voice stack end to end: LiveKit media pipelines, SIP/PSTN integrations (Exotel, Plivo), STT/TTS orchestration (Deepgram, AssemblyAI, ElevenLabs, Cartesia), call routing, and AI-to-human transfer flows. Mostly greenfield work, directly with the founding team.

What You'll Work On

• LiveKit-based media pipelines for AI and human call handling
• SIP/PSTN integrations with Exotel and Plivo
• STT and TTS provider orchestration with low-latency delivery
• AI-to-human transfer flows — warm transfers, hold logic, escalation
• Call routing: IVR, queue management, agent assignment, fallback handling
• Barge-in detection and turn-taking for natural conversation flow
• Observability across voice systems (OpenTelemetry / SigNoz)

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of backend engineering experience (Python & Golang preferred)
• Some exposure to real-time systems, WebRTC, or SIP/VoIP — willingness to go deep matters more than current depth
• Strong async programming and distributed systems fundamentals
• High ownership; moves fast without needing things fully specced

Bonus

• Experience with LiveKit, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or any media server
• Familiarity with SIP, RTP, or PSTN call flows
• Prior work in conversational AI, contact centre tech, or CPaaS

There will be generic Equity/ESOPs for the right fit.
