About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer – III to join a fast-growing ed-tech platform that is redefining higher education. In this role, you will take ownership of core platform features, design scalable systems, and mentor junior engineers while working closely with product and design teams.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building meaningful products, taking ownership, and shaping both technology and people.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy features for a large-scale, user-centric platform
Architect scalable, reusable components and libraries for long-term product growth
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate requirements into impactful solutions
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability across browsers and devices
Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and contribute to engineering excellence
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues
Lead and mentor a small team (SDE I/II and interns), supporting their technical and professional growth
Skills & Requirements
5–6 years of professional experience in software development
Strong understanding of database schema design, optimization, and scalability
Experience building modern web applications using React.js or Vue.js
Backend experience with Java / Ruby / Golang / Node.js / Python and frameworks such as Spring Boot / Rails / Django / Express
Solid knowledge of MySQL or other SQL databases
Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
Hands-on experience with Redis, including data types and use cases
Strong understanding of unit testing and testing frameworks
Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments
Ability to write clear functional and technical documentation
