Fullstack Developer

We're an early-stage startup looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our lean engineering team. This is a full-time role, not an internship — you'll own real features end-to-end from day one, building scalable web applications that span frontend and backend.

About the Role

You'll join a small, fast-moving engineering team shipping product. You'll have real ownership and influence over architecture and tooling decisions — not just tickets handed down from a large backlog.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend APIs using Node.js (Hono, Fastify, or Express)
• Develop responsive, performant frontend interfaces in Next.js, including SSR and API integrations
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS or GCP (EC2, Lambda, Cloud Run, RDS, Cloud SQL, etc.)
• Design database schemas in PostgreSQL and work with Prisma ORM for type-safe data access
• Integrate headless CMS platforms (Payload, Strapi, Contentful, or Sanity) for dynamic content workflows
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Contribute to sprint planning, feature scoping, testing, and documentation
• Bring in new tools/approaches where they'll genuinely improve velocity or quality — we're small enough to move fast on good ideas

Requirements

• 0–2 years of full-time professional experience as a fullstack or backend-leaning developer, with at least one prior internship in software development
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and at least one of: Hono, Fastify, or Express
• Solid experience building production frontend apps with Next.js (React), including state management (Redux or Zustand)
• Proficiency in TypeScript across both frontend and backend
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP (e.g., S3, RDS, Cloud SQL, App Engine)
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM
• Basic experience with at least one headless CMS (Payload, Strapi, Contentful, or Sanity)
• Comfortable with Git, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL
• Able to work independently and communicate clearly — there's no large team to lean on, so self-sufficiency matters
