Role Overview

We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial Product Lead who will serve as simplismart.ai’s first product manager. You will own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, execution, and iteration. Because this is a zero-to-one role, you must be comfortable operating with autonomy, building processes from scratch, and working closely with engineering, founders, and customers.
We’re especially excited about candidates who have experience as a founder and have transitioned from a machine learning engineer or platform engineer into product management—bringing both deep technical understanding and strong product intuition.

What is expected from you-

• Define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy for simplismart.ai.
• Work directly with founders and engineering to build products from the ground up.
• Translate customer problems, market research, and technical insights into clear product requirements.
• Build product workflows, metrics, and processes—starting from a blank slate.
• Evaluate opportunities using data, experimentation, and rapid iteration.
• Own backlog prioritization and ensure alignment between engineering capacity and business goals.
• Lead product discovery, interviews, prototypes, and MVP development.
• Represent the voice of the customer across all decisions.
• Act as a thought leader in shaping simplismart.ai’s product culture, standards, and frameworks.

What we are looking for-

• 5+ years of experience, with meaningful time spent in product management roles.
• Experience as the first or early product hire, or strong ability to operate independently in fast-paced and unstructured startup environments.
• Founder’s mindset or prior founder experience, demonstrating comfort with ambiguity, ownership, rapid execution, and end-to-end problem solving.
• Hands-on engineering experience building, deploying, and scaling ML and platform systems, enabling informed AI/ML-driven product decisions.
• Proven ability to build, launch, and iterate on successful technology products, especially in AI, data, or automation domains.
• Hands-on experience in early-stage startup environments (0→1, 1→10) with a track record of shaping product direction from scratch.
• Strong understanding of modern machine learning workflows, infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and the productization of ML models.

Good to Have-

• Hands-on engineering experience building, deploying, and scaling ML and platform systems
• Ex-founder is a strong plus
• No MBA needed
