As we prepare to launch groundbreaking projects, we’re seeking an Electrical Harness Designer to lead technical excellence and drive the development of next-generation for satellite-based fluid transport missions.

Role Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Harness Design Engineer to design and develop the harnessing for satellite-based water transport missions and terrestrial interfaces. This role will define, acquire, integrate, validate, and maintain electrical harnesses for spacecraft operating in Earth's orbit and beyond. The ideal candidate has expertise in NASA standards, IPC practices, cable design software, and wire/cable selection to ensure safe adherence to all applicable standards. This position reports directly to their project’s technical lead.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cable Planning
    Design Block Interconnect Diagrams (BIDs) and Wiring Interconnect Diagrams (WIDs) using CAD
    Layout harnesses for RF/communication, power distribution, and other critical paths
    Evaluate harness components and materials for adherence to relevant standards
    Design cable routing for space craft

  2. Cable Manufacturing
    Create Work Instructions for cable build and installation
    Create testing plan for cables upon creation
    Perform inspections and validate build

  3. Electrical Expertise
    Act as Subject Matter Expert for cable creation (including tool selection and material selection) as well as connectors
    Be able to provide input on complex sensor connectors to ensure safety during long duration space travel

What We’re Looking For - Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrated design experience
Experience: 3+ years in design, manufacture, and testing/inspection of cabling. Familiarity with IPC 620/NASA cabling standards or equivalent
Programming Skills: Proficiency in Electrical CAD program of choice.

Compensation:
