What You Will Own

As a Backend Engineer at Carriage Models, you will be instrumental in building the robust infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge AI platform, ensuring we can reliably execute complex financial workflows at scale.

• Design and implementation of scalable APIs and microservices that power our AI-driven financial automation platform
• Data pipeline architecture for processing large-scale financial datasets and model outputs
• System reliability, performance optimization, and infrastructure scaling to support our growing customer base
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineers and domain experts to architect distributed systems that handle complex workflow orchestration

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• You write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
• Production experience with distributed systems, message queuing (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS), and caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
• Solid understanding of database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with LLM integration patterns and API design for AI-powered applications
• Understanding of financial data structures and processing is a plus
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to system design details
• 5+ years of backend development experience
