About the job
About Us:
We are building a next-generation real estate transaction management platform that simplifies escrow, balancing, trust accounting, and compliance for agents, brokers, and investors. Our goal is to streamline complex workflows with automation, transparency, and efficiency.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience in SQL programming and database design to help architect and develop our transaction software. You will work closely with our team to design data models, implement workflows, and build integrations that power the transaction lifecycle from offer to closing.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based databases for real estate transactions, including escrow, trust accounting, and closing modules.
Implement backend logic for balancing debits/credits, generating final settlement statements, and managing trust ledgers.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate databases with user-facing features.
Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with real estate and escrow regulations.
Optimize queries and maintain performance for high-volume transaction data.
Contribute to system architecture and long-term scalability planning.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL) with expertise in stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries.
Strong background in database design, normalization, and optimization.
Experience with financial/accounting software or real estate/escrow systems (preferred).
Familiarity with at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, Java, or C#).
Understanding of RESTful APIs and system integrations.
Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and deliver clean, maintainable code.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with real estate technology or fintech platforms.
Knowledge of compliance requirements for escrow and trust accounting.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Frontend skills (React, Angular, or Vue.js) a plus.
What We Offer:
Competitive compensation (hourly, salaried, or equity opportunities depending on fit).
Flexible hours with potential to grow into a long-term leadership role.
Opportunity to help shape a product that will disrupt the real estate transaction process.
