Graphics Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an Graphics Software Engineer who is product focused and has the drive to tackle challenges that even leading companies like Roblox, Meta, and Google have yet to solve. You'll be helping architect the engine and work closely with the CTO. This is a 100% remote position. As an early team member you'll have a seat at the table helping grow and influence the company.

Role responsibility

• Taking ownership and influencing product design
• Developing and driving the graphics and visuals of the engine
• You will mostly be using C# and Vulcan

Needed Skills

• Fluent English speaking
• Experience working on game engines or graphics engineering personally or professionally.
• Atleast 2+ years of software development professionally.
• Experience working with one of the following or similar: C, C++, C#, Java, Rust, etc.
• Ability to work remote with high agency and little supervision
• Being a self-starter. You ask to start/find new tasks, you dont wait to be assigned them.
• You possess a positive mindset that views challenges as an opportunity for more out of life.

Your Workflow

• Two-week sprints with weekly team meetings to review and adjust tasks.
• All work undergoes review to ensure it meets YouTopia’s design standards.
• Prior to investor funding, you will work part time for equity. After securing funding, you’ll work full time with salary + equity.

Opportunity

• We have been approached by various investors and rejected their offers to preserve team equity and maintain a great work culture.

• Closest product competitors would be Meta, X, Roblox, Google chrome and Steam for discovery platforms, social media platforms and Creation platforms.

• We are a team that actually ships. We have launched an MMO game for alpha release prior and we built relationships with youtubers from Minecraft, MMO and Roblox communities (totaling millions of followers). We currently have a community of Alpha backers and playtesters.

• We are receiving council from our private network of investors and founders for our funding and go-to-market strategy.

• Pre-funding engineers will receive 1%-4% equity and $20k supplemental salary working part time. After funding, developers will initially earn 50k-200k salaries full time. This is your chance to get meaningful equity before salary dispersements when we secure funding.
