About the job
About OneSchema
At every company, there's someone whose most painful job is wrangling CSV files in Excel. OneSchema (oneschema.co) makes cleanup of messy CSVs 10x faster (demo). Our product is a smart spreadsheet that makes data cleansing as simple as a few clicks. Our vision is to automate the “long tail of ETL” processes that today are painstaking, manual, and repetitive. We get our customers out of spreadsheets and back to the meaningful, creative work they love.
We are backed by top investors including General Catalyst, Sequoia Capital, and Y Combinator.
And as a rapidly growing seed-stage company, every team member has the chance to have a major impact on our business. Compensation is competitive, and includes substantial equity ownership.
If you thrive when given a great degree of ownership and enjoy a trusting, casual, growth-minded environment alongside highly driven teammates, this could be a perfect fit.
About the role
As a founding member of our Deployed Engineering team, you will be the voice of our customer and go 0 to 1 on our most important customer success initiatives. With a deep understanding of developer tools and a passion for problem-solving, you’ll work closely with our strategic customers to ensure they get the most value from the OneSchema product.
You’ll own the entire implementation and post-sale customer journey, from helping new customers with embedding OneSchema, to designing new OneSchema integrations, serving as a technical expert, and ensuring that our customers succeed with their rollouts. You will be given a lot of autonomy, and the chance to learn in one week what it would take one month to learn elsewhere.
You'll report directly to the CEO and also collaborate closely with our product, engineering, and solutions engineering teams. Because we are a highly collaborative, close-knit team, our entire engineering team works from our office 5 days a week in downtown San Francisco.
What you’ll do
Serve as a primary technical point of contact for our users.
Own the onboarding of customers and ensure their success in implementing OneSchema.
Tackle technical limitations or opportunities in OneSchema that need solving via code (e.g. a bug, a missing feature, etc.) or partner with our product engineering teams to tackle the problem.
Be a thought partner to OneSchema customers to help them build out complex data import workflows for new products and use cases
Create technical content to demonstrate best practices (e.g. documentation, demos, sample apps, etc.)
Work alongside customers to drive product adoption and identify opportunities for optimizations that create the best solution for their needs.
Work side by side with customers to identify new use cases, advocate for their needs, and ensure their feedback continuously improves the core OneSchema product.
Continuously evolve best practices to improve technical product adoption and customer engagement throughout the post-sale and renewals process.
Who you are
Ideally 1+ years experience in a technical customer-facing role (e.g. Technical Founder, Deployed Engineering, Customer Success Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Solutions Engineer), but open to exceptional new grads
Strong engineering background, preferred in fields like computer science, software engineering, data science, or data engineering
Experience building web applications with React, SQL, Javascript, and APIs Highly technical and customer-obsessed, with a solutions-first mindset
Proven capability to address technical concerns and provide solutions in real-time discussions with customers
Able to navigate and solve open-ended technical challenges in dynamic environments
Benefits
Competitive compensation with meaningful stock options
Medical, Dental and Vision plans
Daily lunch in office
Quarterly wellness budget
401k
Unlimited PTO and sick days
Parental leave

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $110k-$170k. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity packages, health, dental and 401(k) contributions that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission.
