Role Summary: The Sales & Marketing Manager will play a crucial dual role in SOLAPS, addressing both immediate revenue generation needs and long-term strategic growth. Initially, the focus will be on driving sales activities and launching revenue-generating campaigns to provide essential cash flow. Over time, the role expands to oversee global sales strategies, brand development, and market expansion, particularly for the ChargeBot Backpack in key African markets and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Short-Term (Immediate Focus)
- Revenue-Generating Campaigns:
- Launch and lead the limited-edition merchandise campaign to generate $10,000 within the first 30 days.
- Organize and host two online workshops on renewable energy, aiming to achieve $5,000 in revenue.
Drive pre-sales for the “Solar Innovations in 2024” e-book, targeting quick cash flow.
Client Acquisition:
Onboard a minimum of 5 consulting clients, generating $3,000 in revenue within the first month.
Cultivate partnerships and execute sales strategies to boost immediate revenue.
Flexible Compensation Approach:
Accept deferred compensation agreements with a performance-based bonus tied to meeting early revenue milestones.
Long-Term (Post Funding & Business Stabilization)
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the ChargeBot Backpack, targeting key verticals (e.g., corporate gifts, supermarkets).
Lead the Lagos-specific marketing campaign, focusing on influencer partnerships and local engagement.
Brand and Market Expansion:
Enhance brand visibility through digital marketing efforts, social media engagement, and strategic partnerships.
Build a robust sales pipeline, targeting high-value segments, and expand the presence of ChargeBot products in international markets.
Team Development:
Recruit and mentor additional sales and marketing team members as needed.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, continuously optimizing strategies for improved results.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Short-Term:
- Achieve $10,000 in revenue from merchandise sales within 30 days.
- Generate $5,000 from workshops and $3,000 from consulting clients.
- Reach a minimum of 5% growth in brand visibility and engagement.
Long-Term:
- Attain a Sales Growth Rate of 50% quarter-over-quarter.
- Maintain a Conversion Rate of at least 3% on landing pages.
- Reduce Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) by 15% within six months.
