The Role

We're seeking an AI Engineer with a strong background in mathematics to join our team in Austin, TX. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days of in-office presence per week. As a key member of our growing team, you'll have the opportunity to apply advanced AI techniques to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities

Develop custom data storage solutions
Perform statistical testing and engineer features to be utilized for modeling and forecasting
Architect deep learning models, including developing and enhancing model architectures from mathematical foundations
Full-stack development
Assist in development work on a wide variety of projects serviced by the company

Requirements

B.A. or B.S. in Math, Computer Science, or related field
Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning
Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Experience with time series analysis and predictive modeling
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred) and big data technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly

Nice-to-Have

Experience with algorithmic trading or high-frequency trading systems
Advanced degree (MSc or Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
Knowledge of blockchain technology and its applications in finance
Experience with reinforcement learning
