What You'll Do
As a Micro Mobility Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and optimization of the docking bike share network. This includes managing the software and hardware integration of docking stations, ensuring reliable operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting network expansions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for sustainable mobility solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the performance and reliability of the docking stations, ensuring uptime and efficient operation.
- Performing routine diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and hardware components of the docking bike system.
- Providing on-site and remote technical support for docking stations and backend systems, resolving issues in real-time.
- Testing faulty parts and components to diagnose issues accurately and determine the need for replacements or repairs.
- Collaborating with vendors and suppliers for hardware maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades. Raising technical issue tickets, improvement requests, spare parts orders, and RMA requests.
- Preparing, managing, and executing the order and budget for spare parts, ensuring alignment with operational needs and system maintenance requirements.
- Analyzing and resolving software, network, and hardware issues, collaborating with on-site technicians and vendors when necessary.
- Implementing software updates and upgrades for seamless system integration and developing quick solutions to technical issues to minimize disruptions.
- Monitoring system performance metrics, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, focusing on metrics like docking utilization, fault rates, and maintenance needs.
- Developing and maintaining testing protocols, documenting findings, and implementing fixes as required.
- Preparing and presenting regular reports on system performance, downtime incidents, and improvements to management.
- Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure technical requirements align with operational needs and customer experience.
What You'll Need
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in systems engineering, network management, or similar roles, ideally in urban mobility or transport systems.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, electrical systems, and system maintenance.
- Willingness to conduct on-site work when necessary to ensure quick resolution of technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A valid UAE Driving License.
