As the Purchasing Assistant you will assist the sourcing team to maintain factory efficiencies and ensure on time deliveries of raw materials for production. You are responsible for assisting the costing team with UK BOMs, then purchasing and expediting materials for UK factories. As well as providing administrative support across the sourcing team as required.
Duties & Responsibilities: − Generating and issuing purchase orders for UK & agile raw materials.− Expediting orders, communicating any delays to the UK production and sourcing team. − Ensuring weekly changing dates are kept up to date on the system.− Work closely with production planning team to manage and limit any material delays.− Work closely with the costing team on ensuring UK BOMs are all up to date and accurate, as well as providing support on any reporting requirements.− Conduct end of month reporting for accounts valuations.− Manage the raw material stock take twice yearly.Culture: − Understand and demonstrate the Mulberry employee values and behaviours: Be Bold, Be Imaginative, Be Open, Be Responsible.− Support Mulberry to deliver an inclusive culture, through behaving in a way that is open-minded and respectful towards others, and understanding that your views, opinions, and experiences may not always be shared by your colleagues.− Act as an ambassador for Mulberry and communicate positively about the brand. Skills & Knowledge: − Experience in a purchasing environment.− A proficient level using all Microsoft office programs, particularly Excel. − Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.− Good attention to detail. − Ability to work at a fast pace, prioritise work and organise themselves well in a varied role to ensure deadlines are met.
