The Role
We're seeking a Staff Engineer to architect and lead the development of our cloud-native platform that will handle music rights registration, royalty processing, and global collections. You'll be instrumental in building scalable systems that process millions of transactions and serve a global community of creators, while managing and mentoring our distributed engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and implementation of our core platform services
• Manage and mentor our overseas engineering team, including code reviews and technical guidance
• Establish and enforce code quality standards through regular audits and reviews
• Design and implement secure, scalable APIs for music rights registration and royalty processing
• Build robust integration systems with multiple Collection Management Organizations (CMOs) worldwide
• Drive technical decisions that balance business needs with engineering excellence
• Collaborate with product and business teams to define technical strategy
• Ensure consistent implementation of best practices across distributed team members

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience building large-scale web applications
• Deep expertise in our tech stack:
  • Frontend: React.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Node.js
  • Infrastructure: AWS
  • Database: PostgreSQL
• Experience managing distributed engineering teams
• Strong code review and mentorship abilities
• Proven track record designing and implementing REST APIs
• Experience with cloud architecture and AWS services
• Track record of leading complex technical initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of music publishing, rights management, or royalty processing (CWR, ISWC/IPI Systems)
• Experience with financial transaction processing systems
• Background in data engineering or analytics
• Experience working with teams across multiple time zones
