Senior Manufacturing Engineer

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Cypherock, you will play a pivotal role in developing, manufacturing and optimizing production systems for cutting-edge Hardware Security products and solutions. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, manufacturing partners and suppliers and product designers to bring innovative product to market. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the functionality, reliability and performance of the company's manufacturing and production systems, contributing to the growth and success of the startup.

• Identify manufacturing needs for new product development.
• Develop, implement and optimize manufacturing processes for electromechanical components, ensuring adherence to engineering designs and specifications.
• Work closely with design engineers to review new product designs for manufacturability, providing feedback on material selection, assembly processes, and tolerance requirements.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide regular reports on production metrics and performance.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Work closely with production teams, quality control, supply chain and project managers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Generate ideas for fixtures and assembly jigs.
• Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements.
• Vendor development and management related to product components.
• Ensure quality of inbound components working with QA/QC and Manufacturing teams
• Supervise assembly team and processes to ensure quality work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Partner with company leadership and sales team to create product delivery schedules
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop plans for improving production, reducing costs, and optimizing labor requirements.
• Conduct thorough quality checks at each stage of the assembly process, resolving any defects promptly.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimally utilize equipment and materials, maximizing production output.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient use of resources.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date assembly documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to assembly team members to accomplish production goals effectively.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in assembly/production line of hardware products with mechanical and electrical components
• Strong understanding of materials, processes and technologies.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes including turning, milling, EDM, forming, bending, rolling, molding, surface finishing, 3D Printing, CNC.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, Fusion360) and CAM software.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in start-up or agile development environments.
