About Basis
Basis is an AI platform built to take on accounting & finance workflows end-to-end. We combine ML and accounting expertise to build systems that do real work on behalf of our users and are in production today.
We have hit product market fit, have more demand than we can meet, and are now scaling to see out the long-term vision. We just completed a yet to be announced Series A from tier-1 investors that gives us the capital to go big, and we need to do it fast.

Compensation: We pay 50% percentile cash and 90% percentile equity because the whole team is all-in, and we want you to be too

About the role
We have a massive business opportunity in front of us and just raised significant capital to go after it. For us to succeed, we need to scale fast, without losing the talent caliber that has brought us here. Your job is to build the machine to accomplish that.
You'll be the first talent hire on the team in charge of owning everything talent-related at the company.
What we look for
Wants to win: The people you hire is the company you build, so if Basis is going to win, we need to first win at recruiting. Our Talent Lead needs to bring the same kind of intensity that a top salesperson would have
Experienced: Has built out a recruiting machine before. 5+ years of experience in a technical recruiting/talent function
Company-builder: Excited to lay the groundwork, technically and culturally, as we rapidly scale
Office lover: Prefers shouting across a room over a slack message, seeking full-time in-office in NYC
First principles reasoner: Basis is not a normal company, there will be a lot things that have worked in the past that won't work here. We need someone who doesn't just know what things have worked before, but can apply those lessons to new situations
All-in: This is not a 9-5, we have a massive opportunity ahead of us and are looking to further accelerate our velocity. We are optimizing for the best folks and happy to compensate generously
