ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Hardware Reliability & Validation Testing is part of the Quality & Safety Team and plays a pivotal role of leading a team that transforms product requirements into products with premier performance and reliability. This role works closely with the Hardware Product Development, Manufacturing and Quality & Safety organizations to drive robust products that meet expectations. This role requires strong leadership and creativity to develop and enhance Testing and Validation processes and methods. Responsible for the development of test strategies, procedures and equipment along with coaching and reviewing analytical analysis of test data. This role also requires broad engineering background, strong command of statistical methods, and the ability to work effectively cross-functionally. As a person you are independent, highly motivated, super organized, hyper-flexible and enjoy working in an environment that encourages collaborative teamwork to achieve improved product quality.
This role is based in Taiwan, Taichung.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Lead the Global Hardware Reliability & Validation Testing Teams
- Drive the strategy and lead the Reliability and Validation Testing team through design, development, and execution of test plans across all phases of development and continuous improvement
- Be the coach and offer technical support on developing solutions to the organization needs to validate a part and/or product
- Working cross-functionally with Hardware, Quality, Product, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on Testing Strategy
- Lead team in the design and development of vital test equipment and/or develop procedures for testing product performance
- Identify and partner with testing labs to execute specialized test protocols for part or product validation
- Drive team to present analysis in clear, actionable manner to guide design and update executives on status of product vs targets. Incorporating best practices in Statistical techniques.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for enhanced collaboration, clearer documentation ,and standardization
- Constantly improving the status quo and perfecting the method of testing and increasing efficiency
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Minimum of BS in Science or Engineering. MS in Engineering or Physics preferred
- 8+ years of professional experience in reliability testing electromechanical consumer, medical, automotive, robotics, or similar hardware
- 5+ years in managing a team of engineers
- Experience with transition toward automation
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skillset
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong Engineering and Manufacturing experience. Knowledge of Best Practices in Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Data-driven. Ability to use Product Test Data, Field Data, and Business Analysis to drive decision making.
- Passionate about Quality and Safety. Effective cross-functional Voice of Quality and able to build cross-functional partnerships to achieve goals
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and rapidly-evolving environment, prioritizing multiple work streams in parallel. Adaptability and comfort with change is critical.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 20% domestic and international.
