WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As Qualia embarks on the next phase of growth, we are seeking a Billing Specialist, Collections to help fuel Qualia's rapid growth. The Billing Specialist, Collections will contribute to our billing process. The ideal candidate for this role is customer service focused, detail oriented, and a strong communicator. You’ll be responsible for following up on outstanding payments, assisting customers with their billing related questions and concerns, facilitating invoice requests, and processing refund requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create invoices and custom billing materials to be sent to a customer
  • Review customer payment plans regularly for timely payments, and follow up where necessary
  • Respond to customer billing questions
  • Flow concessions and refunds through the appropriate approval process as well as issue approved refunds
  • Assist customers in the resolution of failed charges
  • Work with our payment processor to resolve any blocked payment issues
  • Assist customers with payment set up
  • Work with Finance to ensure proper period cut off for month end close procedures
  • Review billing process and recommend improvements where possible
  • Based in Austin, TX, with the ability to work in the office a minimum of two days per week is required

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

  • Independent self-starter and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with ambiguity, solve problems, and think on your feet
  • 4+ years of customer service experience, with at least two in a billing role, or Bachelors Degree with 2+ years of customer service experience
