Vortex Labs (www.vortexlabs.ai) is a premium software design and development studio seeking a mid-level Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our team.
As a Product Designer (UX/UI), you will work directly with our Head of Product Design, and our CEO. You’ll be working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional design assets and user experiences. You will be expected to articulate your work and thought process to the teams. As the Product Designer you’ll work on a scalable design system and follow style guidelines to uphold design standards.
Desired interest: Fantasy sports. The ideal candidate is highly familiar with the fantasy sports industry.

What You’ll Do:
Design and create wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes to represent new features as well as improving existing features.
Gain hands-on experience of the agile process, from wireframes to handoff.
Solving design problems and iterating designs through testing and reviewing builds.
Iterate designs based on design reviews and team feedback.
Gather and evaluate user requirements.
Constantly be thinking of ways to improve the product. Have an eagerness to innovate, and come up with new and creative design solutions.
Ideal Candidate Should Have:
2 - 3 years of industry experience, in both web and mobile.
A strong portfolio that demonstrates mobile experience and understanding of UX/UI design.
A keen eye for details and ability to execute pixel-perfect designs.
Ability to work independently and problem solve.
Curiosity and motivation to learn and seek out inspirations from a variety of areas not only in sports space.
Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
An understanding of Web design and fantasy sports is a plus.
Ability to effectively communicate design processes and solutions.
Desired Skills:
Graphic design background.
Product discovery / creative researcher.
User testing and research.
Interaction design tools.
The position is a contract role, paid hourly.
