WHO YOU ARE:
We’re looking for an experienced social media expert who will blend creativity, brand expertise, and data-driven best practices to elevate the organic social media strategy for Braze, execute that strategy, experiment with new ideas, and then measure and report on success. This position plays a critical role in shaping how the Braze brand is perceived and understood in the customer engagement market, and is a vital part of shaping conversation and interaction in the overall marketing technology space.
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, this role will proactively identify compelling stories and content that align with the company goals, and then work diligently to ideate, build and execute platform-specific content across social media channels, specifically LinkedIn, X, Instagram and YouTube. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day community management on those social media channels, including content creation, posting and scheduling content, managing conversations between followers, amplifying relevant executive/partner/customer/industry content, and reporting/analyzing the results to optimize engagement. You will execute organic social media campaigns, grow our presence in key channels, and play a critical role in coordinating design resources for content. You’ll coordinate with teams across Marketing (Brand, Product Marketing, External Communications, Community, Global Events, Demand Generation, etc.) and our People and Social Impact teams, and partner closely with Digital Marketing on a cohesive strategy across paid and organic social. You will be immersed in the marketing technology and customer engagement industry and be excited to grow and evolve our social channels as a resource and inspiration for customer engagement professionals.
The ideal candidate is proficient in video and photo editing, can leverage tools like Canva and Figma, and is passionate about using innovative, out-of-the-box, and creative ways to tell Braze stories and amplify content and conversations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a primary storyteller for Braze across social channels by building a deep understanding of our mission, products, culture, and values to create captivating content.
- Create and implement a comprehensive organic social content and campaign strategy that aligns with both company and marketing-specific goals.
- Ideate, produce, and manage the creation of a range of content for social channels, including video, animation, static images, carousels, polls, and creative copy posts.
- Oversee and maintain a social content calendar, ensuring timely production and delivery across existing channels.
- Lead social exploration and expansion into emerging platforms, such as TikTok and Threads
- Collaborate closely with paid social and digital marketing team on holistic strategy, and help influence paid social strategy especially as it pertains to boosted posts.
- Establish strong partnerships across Marketing, Communications, and Brand teams to identify potential content creation opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders across Marketing and the Braze organization to proactively build comprehensive social media plans and content for various launches, programs, partnerships, etc. Should be comfortable owning social components for a project and proactively obtain the information and assets needed to executive the strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to produce and publish social-first content on LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing content that effectively communicates our brand.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and relevant platform updates.
- Monitor reactions to Braze content across all social media platforms, responding to comments and messages from followers, as appropriate.
- Amplify relevant content from executives, partners, customers, industry thought leaders, etc.
- Act as the first line of defense in monitoring for any potential negative content on social channels through active social listening.
- Increase followers and drive engagement with target Braze audiences.
- Create a thoughtful employee social advocacy strategy that leverages existing or new tools, social content, and a solid fan base of employees to amplify content.
- Measure and analyze the performance of social content, utilizing data to optimize our content strategy and drive continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience dedicated to social media marketing, preferably in a B2B tech environment, ideally with experience in marketing or customer experience technology.
- Strong project management skills and a proactive approach to managing social media campaigns and initiatives.
- Self-starter with the ability to work fast, collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and proactively raise the bar creatively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling social media content and messaging that is both channel specific/appropriate and fits brand tone, voice and personality.
- A blend of data-driven and creative mindset – someone who can use analytics and insights to optimize social media strategies and drive results, while also taking risks, experimenting with new ideas and thinking outside the box.
- A collaborative and inclusive nature, along with the ability to coordinate efforts and foster alignment across various teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in video and photo editing, and can leverage tools like Canva and Figma
- Knowledge of social media management and social advocacy tools such as Sprout Social and Dynamic Signal
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between between $102,000 and $114,750/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $120,000 and $135,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
