Maven is looking for a Senior Manager of our Compensation and Reward Programs to own Equity and Performance Programs reporting directly to our Director, People Operations. This role will be a champion of designing and elevating our employee compensation, equity and performance programs as Maven continues to grow and evolve. They will own our end-to-end performance review and compensation cycle, driving program iterations based on feedback, Maven’s growth trajectory and market forces. This role will proactively identify key areas to take our compensation and performance processes & systems to the next level and be the key project manager to move these priorities forward. The ideal candidate will have a depth of experience and knowledge in building innovative and scalable compensation and equity programs for a late-stage tech company.
As Senior Manager, Compensation & Rewards Programs you will:
- Partner with leaders and cross-functional partners on compensation strategy, including development of our compensation philosophy and equity programs.
- Drive the design, implementation and management of our annual performance review and compensation cycle and mid year performance cycle. This includes leading employee training, ownership of our compensation planning tool, Pave, and partnering with leaders on compensation decisions.
- Lead the development and delivery of employee training and communications around equity; particularly for talent acquisition to equip them for offer conversations
- Expertly utilize our equity plan management platform for administering and analyzing equity compensation, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals
- Drive analytical rigor and deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of systems (including HRIS management and total rewards vendor management), existing programs, establish and drive key metrics including usage, engagement, and cost analyses.
- Innovate and react quickly as business and market realities change, staying up to date on best practices and trends; ensure compliance with applicable legislation - work to ensure our approach is inclusive of all Mavens in our hybrid workforce and globally.
- Partner with our Sr. Analyst to complete regular compensation & equity market analyses and reviews to ensure our data & philosophy is up-to-date, accurate, and competitive.
- Provide guidance to People Partners & Recruiting teams around compensation and equity decisions to drive high engagement and retention of our employees.
We’re looking for you to bring:
- A specialist/manager with 7+ years experience in total rewards strategy & administration.
- Extensive exposure to designing and successfully executing compensation and equity strategies and programs for hyper-growth technology companies
- Track record of effectively partnering with internal senior stakeholders
- Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations; financial prowess and ability to build and manage budgets, models, etc.
- Proven ability to track, prioritize and drive to success multiple concurrent projects with a strong compensation and equity background.
- Hands-on leader. You’re resourceful, forward-thinking, drawn to building from ambiguous and unsolved problems and have an "own the outcome" mindset.
- Influence and partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders, able to partner with deeply technical as well as operational, business-minded leaders on key People Operations topics. You excel at openness and flexibility with internal clients, balanced with maintaining consistency in People philosophies and practices.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite and an understanding of Excel/Sheets formulas and functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ADP WFN, Pave, CultureAmp, Lattice
- Public or late-stage private company experience
- Experience working with non-exempt populations
For candidates in NYC, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
