About This Role
The Account Executive role is responsible for acquiring new customers that drive revenue growth. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales. This position requires an individual with a track record of experience finding the right strategic customers and leverage new contacts to execute a complex, value-based sale. By joining at this stage you will have an opportunity to shape the direction of the company. You will build a pipeline of selling opportunities, run a formal sales process with a defined qualification methodology, and close business above assigned revenue targets.
What You'll Do
- Support the sales process and contribute to sales initiatives and sales motion activities.
- Become a subject matter expert on Pico MES software products and how customers apply them to solve real business problems
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and leverage social media to set up meetings and sales presentations to generate opportunities with prospective customers
- Schedule meetings with key executives (CxO, VP, director) to build relationships and qualify opportunities
- Investigate the internal business processes of clients and demonstrate a tailored technology solution
- Coordinate sales and technical resources during the sales process
- Accurately keep records of selling activities and opportunities in the CRM
- Develop revenue forecast in coordination with the Vice President of Sales
- Leverage an understanding of customer behavior to identify trends, influencers, opportunities, and strategies to help customers achieve their business objectives
Who You Are
- 1-2 years experience selling software solutions to new mid-market accounts
- Consistent top performer
- Track record exceeding quota selling a complex software product
- Experience selling software solutions virtually
- Highly motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industrial automation, discrete manufacturing, and related product and service offerings is a plus
- Ability to travel greater than 20% of the time
