Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join the Wanderboat team. In this role, you will design intuitive and engaging interfaces that bring our product vision to life. Your work will directly impact the user journey, creating seamless, visually appealing, and user-friendly experiences that encourage exploration. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure Wanderboat’s design reflects our core values of discovery, connection, and ease.

Key Responsibilities
UI/UX Design: Conceptualize and create visually compelling, user-centered designs for web and mobile applications, focusing on intuitive navigation, accessibility, and brand consistency.
User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to gather insights and validate design choices. Analyze and synthesize feedback to make data-driven design improvements.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas. Collaborate with product and development teams to bring concepts to life.
Design Systems: Develop and maintain a design system that supports scalability and ensures visual consistency across the platform.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to align on goals, share insights, and refine the product experience.
Iteration & Feedback: Be proactive in seeking feedback and iterating on designs based on user insights, analytics, and business needs.

Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing web and mobile projects.
Skills: Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar. Familiarity with prototyping tools and responsive design principles.
User-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, including usability, accessibility, and experience design.
Research & Testing: Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform and validate design decisions.
Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts clearly and thoughtfully.
Problem-Solving: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects, balancing creativity with practicality.
Attention to Detail: A strong eye for aesthetics, detail, and consistency, ensuring that every aspect of the design enhances the user experience.

Bonus Points
Experience in travel, hospitality, or outing-based applications.
Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to facilitate design-developer handoff.
Passion for travel and a desire to inspire others to explore the world around them.
