Position Overview
We’re seeking a high-agency, action-oriented Founding Engineer to lead the development of our web application. In this role, you’ll help transition our current MVP into a scalable, feature-rich platform with a robust backend and AI-powered workflows. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on MADE’s journey.

Responsibilities

• Product Development: Design and implement foundational architecture for a scalable, AI-enabled application focused on eCommerce supply chain workflows, predictive analytics, and seamless payments.
• Backend & Full-Stack Engineering: Build and optimize APIs, data models, and front-end interfaces that drive eCommerce growth.
• Infrastructure Setup: Lead the migration from a no-code platform to a cloud-native solution (AWS or GCP), ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
• Collaboration: Partner with the founding team to align development with business goals, delivering a user-centered experience.
• AI Readiness: Develop the technical groundwork to support AI features, including predictive analytics and conversational interfaces.

Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in backend/full-stack development, with experience in scalable FinTech or eCommerce platforms, particularly on 0-to-1 product builds.
Skills: Proficient in cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), relational and NoSQL databases, API development, and modern frameworks (e.g., Python, Node.js).
AI Experience: Familiarity with AI/ML, generative AI technologies, and deep learning models.
Culture Fit: Startup-ready, proactive problem-solver with a passion for building from the ground up; strong teamwork skills.

Experience with AI agents, payments/FinTech, and eCommerce SaaS.
