NOTE: This role is hybrid, meaning that the team comes together in office up to twice per month.
What You'll Do as a Reconciliation Specialist:
- Oversee and execute end-to-end payment reconciliation processes, including credit cards, bank transfers, and payment fees.
- Monitor and control payment accounts, ensuring financial accuracy and reporting any discrepancies to Finance.
- Perform reconciliations between customer records, payment partners, and our internal financial records, creating a seamless financial flow.
- Seek out ways to enhance operational processes and controls, helping us scale and improve efficiencies.
- Take ownership of processes, solve challenges, and make data-driven recommendations that drive meaningful improvements.
- Collaborate, support, and train team members within Commercial Operations, contributing to a culture of growth and teamwork.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Experience in financial reconciliation and settlement
- Strong documentation skills for back-office procedures, with an eye for recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset. You enjoy working together, bring a positive attitude, and are always open to helping out, even beyond your usual responsibilities
- Passion for technology and fintech, with a drive to stay current with industry advancements.
- Strength in independent problem-solving. You confidently navigate and tackle challenges.
- Organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy while meeting tight deadlines.
- The ability to quickly ramp up and get comfortable in new environments.
- Analytical expertise, including advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Curiosity and a solution-focused approach. When something feels off, you’re motivated to dig in and understand it.
You'll Stand Out if You Have:
- Experience working in a Payments and or Fintech SaaS environment
- Previous experience working with database querying (e.g., SQL)
