Senior Software Engineer - Backend

About the role: We seek a skilled and passionate Backend Engineer to join our
Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building intuitive and
powerful backend experiences that support the tooling needs of the organization.
You will work closely with front-end engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to
create solutions that enhance the productivity and efficiency of our internal teams.
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who is excited not only about hands-on
building as we ship and iterate on a weekly basis to get our product ready, but who
can also serve as a role model and mentor to other engineers. This role involves
making key technical decisions and improvements to the system, as well as
effectively making an impact through influence within and across teams.

*What we look for: *

1. We are looking for someone willing to work as an Individual Contributor with 4+ years of experience, a minimum of 2 years of latest stint with Python
2. Proven track record of delivering impactful projects independently and as part of a team.
   
3. An intuitive grasp of product-level thinking and system thinking
4. Strong communication skills

*What you'll work on: *

1. Driving new features from user research to production by working closely with designers and AI engineers.
2. Designing the Backend system and APIs and working with front-end engineers to integrate them.
3. Ensure APIs are secure and optimized for speed, scalability, and availability.
4. Deploying to Docker and Kubernetes in production
5. Optimizing server/database architecture

*Cloud Infrastructure & Management *

1. Design, build, and manage scalable, secure software and infrastructure in a Kubernetes environment
2. Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm.

*Collaboration & Teamwork *

1. Mentor a team of Juniors (30% part of work)
2. Work closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to design innovative backend solutions.
3. Participate in code reviews and share knowledge to maintain high code quality across the team.
4. Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration with Gan.AI’s architecture.

*Nice-to-Have *

1. Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure APIs
   
2. Experience contributing to 0-to-1 products (building from scratch).
3. Background working with developer tools or similar technical products.
4. Familiarity with developer tools for Serverless or SaaS.
5. Background working with an AI product company or quick commerce
