About Us:
Clipp is on a mission to digitize the $325bn+ food supply chain network with AI-powered order management solutions. We’re an early-stage startup (7 employees) with big ambitions, solving complex problems for restaurants and suppliers. We are looking for a UI/UX designer to help execuyte on creating user-centered designs that are functional, innovative, and intuitive. You will be paired with a Head of Product design with experience working at unicorn B2B startups with over 10 years of UI/UX experience.
Clipp has raised ~$2MM to-date with VCs and angel investors from Doordash, Palantir, and several restaurant groups. Our founding team consists of ex-founders with deep experience in food supply chain, restaurants, and digital marketplaces. This is a unique opportunity to disrupt a legacy industry with massive whitespace.
The Role:
We are looking for a UI/UX designer to execute on crafting seamless, visually appealing user experiences. You will be working together with our Head of Product Design who will lead and mentor you with driving user research, synthesizing insights, and ensuring that those findings directly shape product design and prioritization. You’ll be expected to generate actionable insights from research, prioritize design decisions based on user needs, and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring those designs to life.
There is flexibility in this role being project based (20 hours per week minimum) with opportunity to convert to full-time at the end of 3-6 months, or to start full-time immediately.
The budget for this role is $45/hour but is flexible based on years of experience and your interview performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute on entire design process, from research and ideation to wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Conduct thorough user research, including interviews, usability testing, and analysis of user behaviors, to deeply understand customer pain points and opportunities.
- Synthesize findings and observations into clear insights that inform design priorities and decisions.
- Translate research insights into user-centered designs that meet both customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop and refine user personas, customer journeys, and product requirements.
- Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that align with our brand and product objectives.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback and evolving user needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong and modern design aesthetic
- There is an option for this role to either be full-time, or 20 hour part-time project based capacity for 4-6 months
- 1+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field, preferred
- A portfolio showcasing strong UX and UI design skills, with an emphasis on solving real user problems
- Experience in conducting user research, synthesizing findings, and applying customer insights to prioritize design decisions.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills—able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A self-starter with an eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in B2B, SaaS, or marketplace environments.
- Familiarity with AI-powered solutions or logistics/supply chain industries.
