Lead Frontend Engineer (Project-Specific: App Development)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to spearhead the development of our core application. You will take ownership of our Progressive Web App, which serves as the main Unlisted website and web app. The PWA is also the heart of our native apps. You will lead a talented team from our dev shop, working collaboratively to transform our frontend vision into reality while ensuring a seamless, engaging, and reliable experience for our users.

The Stack:
Vite + React, Radix UI, Framer Motion, Tailwind CSS

Back End:
This app integrates with our existing Rails 7 backend and API.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the development and iteration of our main Unlisted app, ensuring that it remains modern, fast, and scalable.
• Oversee the PWA implementation, creating a seamless web experience that performs well across different devices.
• Collaborate closely with our dev shop to direct frontend tasks, code reviews, and delivery schedules.
• Work with backend teams to integrate APIs effectively, ensuring a smooth connection between the frontend and backend.
• Create intuitive, accessible user interfaces that bring the lead designer's vision to life and align with our UX/UI standards.
• Establish testing strategies for the frontend codebase, improving reliability and performance.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a focus on building complex web applications.
• Proficiency with React, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with PWA technologies and a solid understanding of service workers and offline capabilities.
• Familiarity with styling libraries such as Tailwind CSS and component-based UI architecture.
• Hands-on experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization for single-page applications.
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fully remote environment.
