Role Description:
This is a remote internship role for a Software Tester.

As a Software Tester at Edilitics, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our web applications. Working closely with our engineering team, you will design, execute, and document testing processes. This role requires strong English communication skills—both written and spoken—as you will document issues in detail, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively in a remote setting. Candidates with experience in tools like Selenium, Jira, and BrowserStack for test management are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to design, execute, and maintain test scripts, documenting each step with clear, professional English.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using Selenium.
• Utilize BrowserStack for test management purposes, ensuring streamlined tracking and documentation of test cases.
• Conduct API testing related to data ingestion, processing, and transformation, verifying data accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare detailed, well-structured bug reports in Jira, accurately documenting issues, assigning them to team members, and tracking their resolution.
• Contribute to maintaining and optimizing Edilitics' testing infrastructure and applying best practices.
• Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure end-to-end system functionality.
• Maintain organized and thorough documentation of testing workflows, utilizing Jira and BrowserStack for effective test management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of hands-on work experience in software testing (internships or employment).
• Proficiency with Selenium for automation testing.
• Experience with Jira for bug tracking and test management, with a focus on organized documentation.
• Familiarity with BrowserStack for test management and documentation purposes.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Ability to write clear, concise test cases, develop test plans, and create test scripts.
• Knowledge of different testing types, such as unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Basic knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Previous experience with performance or security testing tools is a plus.
