About the role:
As the Lead Software Engineer, you’ll provide leadership and direction on our front-end architecture to our cross-functional teams, with a focus on the Growth team to devise innovative solutions to customer problems on web and app applications. You will be part of the Architecture Council that defines and leads the direction of the future of the hipages front-end architecture as we continue to scale.

How you will add value:
- Raising the bar of what-good-looks-like within hipages Engineering
- Design and lead the development of the front-end architecture, and delivery of quality, maintainable software applications
- Involvement in data-driven product experimentation
- Writing clean, scalable, testable code to support and enable the growth of the company
- Participation in discussions of system architecture
- Coaching and mentoring the engineering teams
About you:
- 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Relevant software engineering experience within a product led organisation or startup environment
- Experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining React applications
- Experience scaling front end patterns across a multi team environment
- Experience working in an agile team (Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience writing automated tests
- Good understanding of modern CICD practices
- Experience working with modern design practices eg: Atomic Design Principles, Design Systems, etc
- Working in a Cloud environment (bonus if it is AWS)
