The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to be a critical partner to our Sales team, focused on understanding customer business needs and translating them into effective solutions using GrowthLoop’s products and services.
You’re comfortable speaking with confidence in a sales environment, leading demos, and answering product and technology-related questions. You have a strong understanding of Customer Data, Marketing Technology, Data Warehouses like BigQuery and Snowflake, Marketing KPIs, and Marketing Channels.
Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will leverage your technical expertise and consultative sales skills to help bring our product to market. You will guide enterprise clients through a transformational journey, helping them evaluate, implement, and scale GrowthLoop’s platform as a core part of their marketing technology strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate closely with the Account Director to customize product recommendations and sales strategies for prospects, while acting as the primary technical point of contact.
- Partner closely with the sales team throughout the entire sales process; collaborate with Sales Executives to identify and qualify opportunities and develop sales strategies.
- Serve as the technical expert and primary technical point of contact for prospective customers.
- Identify customer needs and tailor product recommendations accordingly.
- Develop a thorough understanding of GrowthLoop’s product offerings, features, and benefits.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and clearly articulate how GrowthLoop’s value proposition addresses the unique business challenges of the prospect or client.
- Lead discovery on client's data models in cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, and Redshift.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.
- Provide feedback to the product development team.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to support sales activities.
- Be an owner - document bugs when you see them, fix what you can, identify initiatives that get stuck and move them forward - recognize and do the right things every day to make us better as a team and company.
What We Look For
- 5+ years in client-facing technical consulting or sales engineering role
- Deep knowledge of the cloud ecosystem. Snowflake preferred
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with customers and internal stakeholders - stakeholders are a mix of non-technical and technical buyers; the ability to engage them with relevant information is a must.
- Willingness to travel, as needed.
- Experience working deals with new prospects end-to-end alongside sales.
- Experience and understanding of data architecture, modeling, and SQL.
- Experience in an early to mid-stage startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from start to close.
- Everlasting intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and technologies.
- Experience in marketing technology and marketing operations.
- Familiarity with pricing models, contract negotiations, and sales forecasting.
