The Data Analyst serves as a key player in understanding, analyzing, and transforming data to enhance Kpler’s analytical output and product offerings in the maritime industry. This role combines data expertise with industry knowledge to align data solutions with market needs, boosting data quality and relevance in apps and maritime-related content. They participate in every stage of the data lifecycle—evaluation, collection, handling, visualization, and interpretation—with a focus on impactful, decision-supporting insights.
Your mission is to:
- Collaborate with business users to understand needs, generate insights, and deploy analytical outputs.
- Lead projects that involve data research, collection, and processing from varied sources.
- Develop clean code, data transformation processes, and automation for streamlined operations.
- Design dashboards, reports, and analytical tools, focusing on data quality and KPI monitoring.
- Identify patterns, trends, and impactful insights, providing data-driven decision support.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring data solutions are integrated across teams.
- Ensure data quality, identify patterns, and communicate findings with stakeholders.
- Contribute actively to team goals, KPIs, and OKRs, attending and engaging in weekly meetings.
- Assume ownership of assigned tasks and proactively address potential issues.
- Work openly and collaboratively across teams, upholding Kpler’s standards.
It will be a match if you are or have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with SQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), Python, and visualization tools like Tableau.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

- Familiarity with the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies (AWS, Kafka, Data Lakes, Warehousing).
