The Role
As a DevOps Manager at Surfside, you will lead our DevOps team to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient operation of our infrastructure. You will be instrumental in automating deployments, managing cloud environments, and implementing best practices in CI/CD, monitoring, and security. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline development workflows and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless software releases.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure management (e.g., AWS, GCP) for scalability and reliability.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure system security through best practices and regular compliance audits.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize development and deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively.
• Establish and enforce DevOps best practices across the organization.
• Manage vendor relationships and budgets for DevOps tools and services.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Playwright and GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and system administration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to be on-call and respond to system alerts as needed.
