Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a talented, driven Market Research Analyst to join our team for a full-time 3-month opportunity. You'll play a crucial role in identifying and analyzing new international markets for SimpleStudy to expand into. This position is pivotal in shaping our global growth strategy and impacting millions of students worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research on secondary education systems in potential new markets
- Analyze subjects studied, curriculum structures, and exam formats in target countries
- Perform social listening to understand student needs, trends, and pain points
- Conduct SEO analysis to identify organic traffic in target
- Analyze competitors, including their offerings, market share, and strategies
- Assess willingness to pay, pricing models, and economic factors in target markets
- Gather and interpret data on demographics and socio-economic factors affecting education
- Prepare comprehensive report and presentations to inform expansion decisions
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive market research independently
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, smart, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt quickly and take initiative without constant oversight
- Track record of successfully completing similar projects or roles
Bonus
- Experience in the educational technology sector or with exam preparation products
- Knowledge of additional languages or experience living abroad
- Familiarity with SEO tools, social listening platforms, or statistical software
- Experience with global education systems and cultural nuances
- Advanced degree or certifications related to market research or analytics
