At Rovio Toronto we are a small (and mighty!) team of passionate gamers. We have a knack for working with high profile brands and taking them to new heights in highly enjoyable and fresh games. Our current focus is mobile with aspirations to explore other platforms in the mid/long term as we recognize new opportunities in our constantly evolving market. Our human-scale keeps us nimble and means that everyone has a meaningful part to play.

We value transparency and candor, empowering each other to do our best work and achieve true work/life balance. Our hybrid work model allows for flexibility while still maintaining a strong sense of community and we would love you to be in the studio 2+ days a week so you can facilitate close collaboration with the rest of the team.

Join us and help us build a culture of trust, passion, and innovation!

We are looking for a Senior Producer to join our team in Toronto. As Senior Producer you will be responsible for liaising with external teams (both at Rovio and 3rd party partners). You will be making sure games stay on track in terms of quality, budget and deadlines with the support of craft leads and studio leadership in Toronto. We have several exciting Angry Birds products in the pipe, as such you will also be collaborating with our brand and transmedia teams to ensure we stay true to our brand ambitions.

You will have impact and fun at work by doing:

  • Liaise with local team producers to oversee game production, including quality follow-ups, providing feedback, brand approvals, and facilitating milestone approvals.
  • Track schedules, identify risks, troubleshoot communication and dependency issues, and work with local teams on contingency plans.
  • Be responsible for demonstrations and presentations of the project.
  • Maintain and enhance creative relationships with external teams.
  • Manage project planning, coordinating with local team producers to create and maintain schedules and staffing plans.
  • Support stakeholder deliverable creation (HQ, platform holders, etc.) with local teams as needed.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with key stakeholders.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Must have strong knowledge of game production scheduling as well as schedule management.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritise, assess risks, and solve problems.
  • Strong understanding of the modern video game landscape, including the pros and cons of various platforms and current gaming trends.
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with a comprehensive understanding of project dynamics.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to foster team collaboration and ensure the team continuously moves toward the same goal; and communicate clearly with external stakeholders, including HQ and third parties.

It would be nice if you also have the following skills:

  • Experience working with IPs.
  • Experience working with outsourced teams.
  • A solid video game culture - you’re a gamer! Strong knowledge of the casual space is a big plus.
  • Experience with F2P games, PC/Console games is a plus.
