Our in-house creative and media agency, The L@B, focuses on enhancing the strategic communications as well as brand and message development work of our Communications & Public Affairs practice. Our internships are designed for recent graduates who are motivated to jump in and take a hands-on approach to learn all aspects of the work we do for our clients. Throughout your internship with GSG, you will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a bustling agency while contributing valuable work to the team. You must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details. The design intern will work with our Creative Director to respond to client requests, as well as assist with GSG's internal rebranding efforts, and day-to-day administrative/project management of the creative department. This is the perfect opportunity to bring your design experience to the consulting space. Our design interns must be able to commit to working full-time (40 hrs/wk). The position will be a hybrid role with an in-person component in our New York office. The internship will begin in January and go through May 2025. The pay rate is $20/hour. Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the design of client work, from reports and one-pagers to digital and social media advertising for GSG clients
- Assisting with the development of key elements for proposals and pitches
- Creating iconic images to be used for client work pulling elements from stock into new compositions
- Designing video treatments, PowerPoint presentations, print ads, and digital ads in all formats
- Strong sense of typography to create compelling and engaging communications in any media
Qualifications:
- Motivated, responsible, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to work with minimal direction
- High level of attention to detail, strong work ethic, and high level of professionalism
- Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent design skills and strong ability to come up with creative design concepts
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), with some experience using PowerPoint
- Comfortable working quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritize and multi-task effectively
- Comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team
- Confidence speaking on the phone with colleagues and vendors
- Familiarity with and understanding of design best practices for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms
