Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Python Developer & Tester to join our Enterprise Knowledge Department. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, enhancing, and maintaining IT systems that support data management, while also ensuring software quality through rigorous testing. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to both software development and quality assurance within an Agile framework.
Key Responsibilities
Development Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions using Waterfall/Agile methodology.
- Troubleshoot issues using scripts and SQL queries.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Quality Engineers for user story elaboration, test automation, and bug fixes.
- Work with the DevOps team on continuous integration and release automation.
- Implement automated unit test cases and support production issues.
- Champion Agile practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming.
Testing Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve build system quality and ensure testing requirements are met.
- Develop and execute test plans and cases for manual and automated testing, including performance and security testing.
- Perform system integration testing, validate test outcomes, and work with the development team to resolve defects.
- Conduct impact analysis of defect fixes and demonstrate tested features during Sprint Reviews.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of Python and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with DevOps tools and data virtualization tools like Denodo.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with big data tools like Pyspark, Linux, and ETL tools such as Informatica.
- Understanding of test automation practices such as TDD and behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Knowledge of reporting or visualization tools like SAP BO and Tableau is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- Relevant software development and testing certifications are a plus (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, Certified Software Testing Professional).
